Forest Whitaker is my favorite actor. One of his movies was filmed in my home country, Iceland. It was released 2005, and its title is A Little Trip To Heaven. Forest Whitaker plays an insurance investigator (Holt) who investigates insurance scams. A Little Trip To Heaven is a dramatic thriller.
The Icelandic musician Mugison composed and played the music, except the theme song A Little Trip to Heaven, which was composed by Tom Waits, though preformed by Mugison in the film.

Baltasar Kormákur graduated from The Drama Academy of Iceland and is one of Iceland’s most popular and critically acclaimed actors of the younger generation, working amongst others with Oscar-nominee Fridrik Thór Fridriksson. But it is as a director and theatre entrepreneur he has really made his name. He has directed ten theatre productions, both at home and abroad. The National Theatre of Iceland formed by Baltasar Kormákur together with two partners. Has directed a string of productions there as well as in. Baltasar Kormákur’s first feature film, 101 Reykjavík, starring Victoria Abril in one of the main roles, is now out.

Mugison is an Icelandic musician and singer who originally performed as a one-man band using a guitar and computer, but now often performs with a band. He studied in London to become a record producer. In 2004 Mugison was recognized at the Icelandic Music Awards. His album, Mugimama Is This Monkey Music?, was named best album and his song “Murr Murr” was named best song. Mugison got his nickname Mugison while on holiday visiting his father Muggi (Muggur) in Malaysia. His father is a Karaoke singer and as the crowds at the Karaoke bars in the small fishing villages they were touring had problems pronouncing his name they came to call him Mugison. Mugison is the Icelandic naming convention for the surname of someone who is the son of Muggi.
